With around five decades of valuable experience in the field of Oncology, Prof. Dr. Somarajan K, is serving as a Senior Consultant Oncologist in the department since its inception in 2008. He retired as HOD and Professor of Radiotherapy from Government MCH Alappuzha. He worked as faculty in all the prestigious medical colleges of Kerala, namely Calicult, TVM, Kottayam medical colleges. He also worked in Libya as a Consultant Oncologist. He retired as professor and H.O.D. of department of Radiation Oncology, Government Medical College, Alappuzha. He is the author of many published articles and organising member of many national as well as state conferences.

Sreekumar Fans Association, Mount Carmel School, St. Marys School Manarcad etc.
His projects lead to sanctioning of Theratron 780 Cobalt Unit Computerised Treatment Planning System, Digital Simulator and HDR remote afterloading system, C-arm Image Intensifier and first ever Linear Accelerator at Govt. Medical College, Kottayam. His interventions led to completion of oncology OP block and first Teletherapy cobalt unit in Thrissur Govt. Medical Colleges, HDR remote afterloading system and 3D Treatment Planning System, and in obtaining central assistance for purchase of Cobalt teletherapy at TDMC Alappuzha.
He was general secretary of KGMCTA (Kerala Govt. Medical College Teacher's Association) in 1988.
He was the secretary of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India, Kerala Chapter from 2001-2003 and was the organising secretary of National Conference of AROI - "AROICON 2003" held at Hotel Le Meridian, Kochi.
International conference on multidisciplinary management of common cancers were conducted during 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2022 and 2024
Dr. Rony completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram in 2009. He passed his MD in Radiotherapy from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2014. He secured his DNB in Radiotherapy with a Gold Medal from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2015. He then went on to complete his DM in Medical Oncology from the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. He also holds an ECMO certification from the European Society for Medical Oncology and an MRCP from the Royal College of Physicians, UK.
Dr. Rony Benson is an expert in the management of solid tumors and hematological malignancies. He is well versed in the management of Gastro intestinal tumors, Brain, Head and Neck tumors with special interest in Immunotherapy and Targeted therapy. He is also one of the editors of a text book titled “Practical Radiation Oncology” (Springer).

Dr Gayathri J Prakash, Radiation Oncologist, is an expert in radiotherapeutic management of malignant and benign diseases in patients of all ages. Trained in all advanced modalities of radiation therapy including precision radiation technology (SRS, SRT, SBRT, VMAT, IGRT treatments) and she believes in providing evidence-based, multi-disciplinary treatment to patients with a customised approach curated for each patient. She completed her MBBS from Pushpagiri Medical College, and MD Radiotherapy from Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram in 2022. She also acquired her DNB Radiation Oncology from National Board of Examinations. Her areas of special interest include advanced radiation therapies for cancers of the brain, head & neck, breast, prostate, gynaecological and gastrointestinal tract.

Dr. Kiran Simon Paul is a Radiation Oncologist with over five years of experience in management of Cancer. He completed his MBBS from Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College, Kolenchery, Kerala, and subsequently earned his DNB in Radiation Oncology from M.N. Budhrani Cancer Institute, Pune, awarded by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
After that he served as a Radiation Oncologist at M.N. Budhrani Cancer Institute, Pune, where he gained extensive experience in the management of a wide spectrum of cancers and the delivery of advanced radiotherapy techniques.
Dr. Kiran has expertise in modern radiation oncology techniques including Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Three-Dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy (3D-CRT), Adaptive Radiotherapy, and image-guided High-Dose-Rate (HDR) brachytherapy.
His areas of clinical interest include breast cancer, gynecological cancers, head and neck cancers, thoracic malignancies, gastrointestinal cancers, central nervous system tumors, and palliative oncology.
